Yes, I'm a transplanted Texan and just can't imagine Thanksgiving without pecan pie made with the REAL thing - Texas pecans. Order arrived promptly, exactly correct, in time to make that Thanksgiving pie. Next on the list - adding them to my secret family recipe fruitcake - better than Corsicana's and one that people actually LIKE to eat rather than re-gifting. Valley Pecans - you're the next best thing to having a pecan tree in our own back yard. Maybe the one down side of moving to Colorado.
We regularly purchase this bag of pecans for our holiday cooking. They have already been transferred to our freezer to protect the flavor. We do this as a rule and have had no degradation of quality.
Pecan halves are delicious and have a nice, fresh taste. They definitely are this year's crop because they do not taste old or frozen. They are so much fresher than what we have been buying in our local stores. We opened the bag to taste them and had a hard time ceasing our taste test.... they were that good!
